An “ape man” kills a surveyor in the forests of British Columbia
Ran this one for the Night at the Opera Open Table. The Officers cornered the Voormi in the bunker after skirmishing throughout the night, but agreed to leave it alone and cordon off the area. They'd seen what the ape-man's heat ray could do, and had no desire to assault it in a fortified position. Plus they realized it was killing the surveyors because they encroached on its "territory"
Delta Green scenario design is an exercise in giving the players a reason not to burn everything down before investigating at all. M EPIC scenario design is an exercise in giving them a reason not to cordon off the area and say an endangered animal lives there before investigating at all. I was happy with how this one turned out, the players had to work to figure out the Sasquatch could be safely left to its own devices, and they had some close shaves doing so.
