CUPS
Practical items you could find in the gear list from the corebook.

UPRIGHT
Ace: A candle, dyed black but nonmagical.

Three: A poultice, clay jug sealed with wax to lock in freshness.
Four: Disposable wooden pipe of the kind sold at tobacconists, prepacked with pipeweed.

Seven: Food. Cheap and filling.
Eight: Flint and steel, pitted as though dipped in acid.
Nine: Broadsheet printed only one side, usable as blank paper on the reverse.
Ten: Shovel, handle snapped off and nailed back together.
Page: Prybar, bent but rust free.
Knight: Fishing pole cut from a springy treebranch.
Queen: Bundle of firewood made from broken furniture.
King: A single torch.

REVERSED
Ace: Manacles, key still jammed in the lock.
Two: Chisel and hammer.
Three: Food, tasty but perishable.
Four: Mattock, tally marks scraped into the head.
Five: Hermetic bottle, empty, grease-pencil annotations smeared away.
Six: Length of chain, bronze.
Seven: Bedroll, pristine.
Eight: Fine clothes, soaked and greasy.
Nine: Pigeon feather quill and cheap, metallic ink.
Ten: Blue chalk.
Page: Fistful of door spikes.
Knight: Salt wrapped in wax paper.

Four: Four gold coins, mass produced by a Dwarven machine.
Five: Five gold coins, all different and all handmade in kingdoms outside the City.
Six: Six gold coins with the crown-and-crow seal of the God-King.
Seven: Seven gold coins, embossed with the PAID stamp of the All Watch.
Eight: Eight gold coins, covered with a palimpsest of Great House sigils.
Nine: Nine gold coins, unmarked.
Ten: Ten gold coins, standardized by the Tyrant.
Page: Eleven gold coins, edges shaved by unscrupulous officials.
Knight: Twelve gold coins, gnawed by teething Goblins.
Queen: Thirteen gold coins, hand engraved with whimsical scenes by Gnome craftswomen.
King: Fourteen gold coins, worn smooth by time.

Five: Ivory marotte of a nun making a vulgar hand gesture, worth 10 gold pieces.
Six: Crude amethyst intaglio of warriors fighting Umber Hulk, worth 12 gold pieces.
Seven: Pipestone pipe, polished and carved in the shape of a Genie, worth 14 gold pieces.
Eight: Eating knife with mother of pearl handle, 16 gold pieces.
Nine: Signet ring of a Human house, gold with an iron face. Worth 18 gold pieces.
Ten: Orc bone flute with rough cut gem plugs, worth 20 gold pieces.

Seven: Flail. An agricultural tool with lead weights added.
Eight: Iron bear trap. Unused.
Nine: Large shield made of thick planks and rope. Heavy Shield.
Ten: Felling Ax with a chipped blade from striking metal.
Page: Winged Spear for boar hunting, shaft sanded and wrapped with cloth.
Knight: Stained but wearable gambeson. Light Armor.
Queen: Oversized mail shirt. Iron Armor.
King: Helmet. An iron skullcap which can be worn under a hat.

Lovingly refurbished Crusade era Crossbow.
Two: Two handed Hammer.
Three: Bollock Dagger with rosewood grips.
Four: Sword. Fat bladed, front heavy falcata with an “umbrella” grip. 
Five: Two handed lochaber Ax.
Six: Leather jacket, stained. Light Armor.
Seven: Pole weapon with half a dozen spikes and protrusions at the head.
Eight: Oversized sallet missing the visor. Helmet.
Nine: Padded jacket stuffed with overlapping metal plates. Iron Armor.
Ten: Clip pointed Dagger in the Saxon style.
Page: Primitive stone headed Mace, decorated with beads.
Knight: Goblin Bow, a little small for humans but perfect for tunnel fighting.
Queen: Straight bladed thrusting Sword with dull cutting edges.
King: Battered Steel Armor, lovely black finish worn away from repeat polishing.
 
 
WANDS
Magic items, in the sense that they are items which might be carried by magicians.

UPRIGHT
Ace:
Archwood wand, swollen and discolored by water damage.
Two: Votive amulet. Can be shattered to remove disfavor from one test or action.
Three: Jar of fate honey. Restores one Lore Bid.
Four: Single hit of of black honey (p98) in a candy wrapper.
Five: Tincture of ghost lotus (ibid) in alcohol. 
Six: Scapular with prayer card. Draw Major Arcana to see who’s on there.
Seven: Dead, dried mandrake, frozen forever in a scream.
Eight: Wooden incantation bowl with prayers against crudely sketched devils.
Nine: Tonguestone made from the tooth of a giant shark.
Ten: Crayon of inky red sealing wax. No signet ring.
Page: Bundle of sage and ephedra.
Knight: Ammonite fossil.
Queen: Obsidian hand mirror, cracked so it looks like a spider on the viewer’s face.
King: Griffon feathers.

REVERSED

Pestle for smashing ingredients, warped and discolored with iridescent patina.
Two: Molted eyecaps from a Brain Spider.
Three: Wormwood leaves, purple from immersion in wine, stinking of licorice.
Four: Satyr horn horn.
Five: Steel tongs for yanking teeth and handling heated metal.
Six: Facerat fur, luxuriantly soft.
Seven: Smilodon fang.
Eight: Twig topped with pinecone to make a little thyrsus.
Nine: Gnome skull, small enough to fit in a coat pocket.
Ten: Cloudy glass ball, fist sized.
Page: Slender vial of holy water.
Knight: Lead talisman with smeared image of a lion.
Queen: Iron ring set with paste gem. Secret compartment for dispensing poisons.
King: Flask of aqua regia, the acid that dissolves gold. Color of a dried orange peel.
