PROVENDER: From These Dreams You Don't Wake Up

Marc rolled his mousewheel and chewed through the backscroll since he last visited. It had been hell finding the page. There was a chance every time that the server had been nuked and his account with it. 

Not much discussion. The usual debate about whether it was the real thing. It was an interesting discussion but it wasn't the point. The current streak was still twelve nights in a row, but the guy had stopped posting.

ARTIFACT: BAD PENNY
DESCRIPTION: A death mask of Abraham Lincoln, cast in zinc with a thin coat of copper. The cast matches photos of the president circa 1865 but is probably fraudulent, as all known molds of the Lincoln's face predate his death.
EFFECT: If worn to bed, the wearer will always dream of a corpse wrapped in funeral vestments, displayed on a catafalque and tended by a silent honor guard of soldiers. The body is their own.

ARTIFACT: LOL SUPERMAN
DESCRIPTION: Camcorder footage taken near the base of the Twin Towers on 9/11. A man falls to his death, striking a parked car when he lands. Everyone claims to remember this video but nobody can produce a copy when pressed. It's always been taken down or censored or some other excuse.
EFFECT: Anyone who watches the video will dream of falling from a great height, waking up before they strike the earth. Repeat viewings reduce the distance to the ground before waking.

ARTIFACT: MOLASSES RUNNING UPHILL
DESCRIPTION: A half gallon mason jar filled with clear liquid, marked with a faded piece of masking tape and PURITY'S FINEST 1919 written in grease pencil. In the jar is a pot still rum, light and unaged with a taste like sweet leather. It was made by homebrewers using molasses from the Boston Molasses flood of 1919, which destroyed the North End and killed twenty one people.
EFFECT: The rum counts as a Dipsomancy major charging spirit. Those who drink it sleep soundly, but wake with horrible acid reflux as sickly sweet mucous threatens to suffocate them.
