Mythic Bastionland Myth: The Giants

Any power must always meet a greater power.

OMENS
1: A blind man and his sighted wife flee furtively. The beg Knights for sanctuary. They are the slaves of cruel Giants. They know only the vague direction they escaped from.

2: Large footprints. Tree branches snapped higher than a man can reach. Animals silent. Someone huge passed through here. The tracks become muddied but offer a clue to the location of the Myth hex.

3: Princess Hunters flag down the Company, task the Knights with finding a spouse for the Giant leader. A political marriage will save the realm. If they fail, their heads will be on the chopping block!

4: Sacked cidery. Roof peeled off, barrels and brewers missing, trees uprooted and shaken for fruit. Dying orchardist, back broken for stinging a Giant with his bow, begs Knights to rescue his kidnapped family.

5: A Giant meanders across the landscape, holding a fistful of long ropes connected to humans who hurry along at ankle level. The leashed human "hounds" serve as the Giant's eyes on the ground.

6: Tired of waiting, three Giants lay waste to the nearest Holding. The destruction is visible from a great distance (per the Giants' elemental type). Procurer Knight spreads word the Company is responsible.

THE MAKING OF
These Giants have the elemental typing from the 1e Monster Manual, but their story arc is based on The Ogre Gods, Wizard/Knight and Blacktongue Thief. The last two myths were full of gore and horror so I wanted to make something more whimsical. Picking a single elemental typed giant would have made the omens more tightly focused but I like all six.
